Location Description:
The Morris Hay Farm is conveniently located approximately 1 mile south of Gorman, TX. (on FM 679) in Northwestern Comanche County.
Terrain:
This farm has a slight elevation change, it is up high with several incredible views, you can see for miles to the west southwest! The entire farm is in Coastal Bermuda. There are scattered trees around the perimeter such as Post Oak, Pecan, Cottonwood, etc.
Water:
The farm is watered by 8 water wells that average 80’ - 100’ deep. Four of the wells have 2HP pumps, 3 wells have 1 ½ HP pumps, and 1 well currently does not have a pump in it. All of the wells are pumped to a pit and then the water is pumped from the pit to the pivot. When all of the wells are on, they are producing 400 – 425 gpm.
Pivot: The pivot is a Zimmatic that waters a 90- acre circle equipped with an end gun. The pivot is not underslung and appears to be in great shape.
Comments:
This is a very nice, irrigated farm with great water. The fences are in good shape, so it is ready for livestock. The farm is in a great location with paved access. If you want a place that will produce premium Coastal Hay, you need to look at this one!
